Ozone for Sports Equipment

Get The Stink Out!!!

Many of us grew up with that gut wrenching smell that seemed to be just part of playing sports.
Football, hockey, baseball and many other types of sports equipment easily grows bacteria and mold in just a few uses.
Simply airing out sports equipment is the smart thing to do between games.
However, that does not kill the Bacteria, Fungus, Mold and the Superbug known as MRSA (staff infection) growing in the "protective" pads of sports equipment.
Moms and coaches, if you notice rashes on your children/student athlete's skin, it is most likely from the direct contact with unhealthy virus and bacterial mold growing in the sports equipment.
The answer is OZONE, a natural substance that kills these harmful growths.
Ozone (O3) is a colorless gas that occurs quite readily in nature, most often as a result of lightning strikes during thunderstorms. In fact, that "fresh clean spring rain" smell is the result of nature's creation of ozone.
  • Your equipment is not heated.
  • Your equipment does not get wet.
  • Your equipment is not sprayed with fragrance spray.
  • No toxic residue remains on the equipment.
For only $20.00 per set of equipment and only 15 minutes, your sports equipment can be clean and disinfected with the amazing power of Ozone.

Ozone is proven to kill 99.9% of mold, bacteria and viruses, including the Superbug MRSA.

The Ozo-clean treatment is one part of a regular equipment maintenance program
A single treatment with the Ozo-clean process will eliminate virtually all foul odor, and will kill 99.9% of harmful bacteria. After treating your equipment there will be some residual odor from the ozone. The smell of the ozone is a fresh smell, similar to the smell of the air after a thunderstorm. This odor is normal and completely harmless.
It is important for you to remember that Ozo-clean is only one part of a regular equipment maintenance program.
  • If the gear has never been cleaned, has not been properly maintained, or if it has been several months between cleanings, it could take more than one treatment to eliminate some of the residual odors embedded in the fibers of the equipment. (The bacteria kill rate is still 99.9%)
  • Do not leave wet gear in your bag as this is a breeding ground for harmful (and odor-causing) bacteria. Always remember to air dry gear after each wearing.  If you fail to do so the odor associated with bacterial growth will return very quickly.
  • Remember to run your bag through with your gear. If you fail to do this the bacteria and mold spores will transfer back to the gear
  •  For best results gear should be dry before treatment. If you must run it through when damp, be sure to air dry the gear immediately afterwards. Jerseys, socks, and undergarments should be washed separately. Do not place used jerseys/socks/undergarments right back in the bag with treated gear as the bacteria will transfer back to the treated gear.
  • Frequency of treatment will vary based on age of player, how often the gear is used, and whether or not the gear is aired-out after immediately each use. On average, (with proper care between treatments) a younger player (mini mite-squirt) playing twice weekly should have their gear treated every 3-4 weeks. Older players or those playing more frequently should have gear treated approx. every 2 weeks.
